Students are introduced to Field Hockey upon entrance into the Lower Elementary Program. Every child participates and the focus is on athleticism and conditioning. Students develop a thorough understanding of the game and improve their skills through regular practice.

The goal is for each child to realize his or her own greatest potential and to develop a high level of athletic performance.

Members of the Upper Elementary class play competitively and travel with the team at least once during the school year to a regional or national tournament.

Ocelots who graduated from Mater Amoris have gone on to participate in intercollegiate field hockey at colleges and universities including, but not limited to: Duke University, Northwestern University, Skidmore College, Stanford University, and Towson University.
